UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH — American University of Sharjah (AUS) administrators are making operational decisions during the current Gulf crisis in coordination with relevant authorities, with safety always the priority, AUS Chancellor Dr. Tod Laursen said Saturday.
Speaking in a video distributed to the campus community, Laursen emphasized the importance of the well‑being of students, faculty, staff, and campus residents.
Acknowledging that many at AUS have family in affected areas, Laursen called on community members to show empathy and mutual respect during uncertain times.
“Please remember that support resources are available, and check in with colleagues, classmates and friends,” Laursen said.
