UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH—The American University of Sharjah’s Performing Arts Program announced in a Tuesday email that it will showcase five short student-written plays on April 20.
According to the email, AUS students developed the plays during the Fall 2021 semester in a playwriting course.
In compliance with COVID restrictions, the program offered the course online, the email noted. Thus, according to the email, the plays allowed students to “explore exciting new ways of developing interactive material and creating scene-based performances.”
The email added that the production was fully online. It noted that the students acted, shot the scenes and edited them independently.
