The info graphs provide visual snippets of “Our World in Data” reports on COVID-19 vaccinations worldwide. MCM 310 Infographics for Journalism students have visualized selected pieces of OWID data for updates on the pandemic.

The most recent data gathered by Our World in Data (https://ourworldindata.org) regarding the COVID-19 vaccination show over two billion shots delivered with China surpassing other large world nations. Countries such as India and the U.S have yet to deliver a billion vaccine shots in total. However, when analyzing the growth in the number of people fully vaccinated in the U.S, the number is on a steady rise, almost reaching 180 million at the start of September 2021. Pfizer is currently the manufacturer with the most vaccine shares in the U.S, with Moderna coming in at a close second.

Data released by Our World in Data (https://ourworldindata.org ) show an increase in the number of Covid-19 vaccinations received globally. The report shows Brazil as one of the leading countries in giving citizens vaccinations with over 200 million vaccinations received. In Croatia, 71% of the population has received the Pfizer vaccination, while only 2% have taken the Johnson & Johnson vaccine. Over the past 6 months, the number of vaccines received in the United States increased from 76 million to over 200 million.

Data released by “Our World in Data” (https://ourworldindata.org) shows the most recent official COVID-19 figures from governments worldwide. The report shows the UAE on top of a four-country list in terms of the number of vaccinations administered. It also shows Pfizer as the number one vaccination delivered in Australia.

International COVID-19 vaccination data released by the Our World in Data Organization (https://ourworldindata.org) show India has the highest number of people vaccinated compared to other countries, followed up by the USA, Brazil, and Mexico, respectively. The organization’s report also shows that the Pfizer vaccine is the leading vaccine in the European Union, taking up the largest share compared to the Moderna, AstraZeneca, and the Johnson & Johnson vaccines. In the UAE, the vaccination doses have grown from six million in March to 18.3 million in September, 2021.

According to a report by Our World In Data (2021) (https://ourworldindata.org) , Brazil has come ahead of Czechia, Japan and Germany in the number of vaccine doses administered over the past six months. The data shows Czechia having the least number of doses administered. In Czechia, the Pfizer/BioNTech company administered the highest number of doses while Johnson &Johnson administered the least number. The data also shows Czechia displaying a steady increase in the total number of vaccine doses during the past six months.

According to the Our World in Data website (https://ourworldindata.org) , Pakistan has begun administering 29.48 more COVID-19 vaccination doses per 100 people as of Sept. 9, 2021, than it did on Feb. 21 at a rate of 0.03 vaccines per 100 people. The United Arab Emirates and the U.S. are administering 187.27 and 112.28 vaccines per 100 people, respectively. Moreover, in the U.S., Pfizer/BioNTech is being administered at the highest level at 57.03%. Moderna follows closely behind at 39.10% and Johnson & Johnson at 3.87%.

In comparison to other countries, the UAE seems to have the largest number of people who have been fully vaccinated. The online report shows Pfizer as the most used vaccine in Hungary.
