SHARJAH, United Arab Emirates – Members of the American University of Sharjah’s Writing Center are delighted to announce the return of face-to-face sessions while still allowing the option of having online tutorials next semester.

“I am so excited for the return of the option of having face-to-face tutoring, this will help both the student and I as a tutor understand how to help each other better,” said Nadine Ayoub, an AUS student tutoring at the Writing Center.

Ayoub is a representative tutor after her English professor recommended that she should help at the Writing Center.

According to Fatma Al Zaabi, a sophomore studying English literature, having the option of face-to-face sessions just like before the pandemic will help students interact with their tutors better.

“I will find this really convenient for me as it will be easier for me to fit in my writing center sessions according to my busy schedule,” added Al Zaabi.

Al Zaabi said that she consults the Writing Center almost weekly to check her essays with tutors.

The Writing Center will welcome students starting Jan. 23, 2022.
