UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – Fire drills are scheduled at the American University of Sharjah’s Physics and Language buildings on Wednesday, the AUS Safety and Crisis Management Team announced Tuesday.

The fire drill in the Physics Building will take place from 10-10:15 a.m., and in the Language Building from 10:30-10:45 a.m. Students should assemble at point A1, as shown on the map.

Specific guidelines have been set to ensure the safety of students during the fire drill. They should leave the buildings by the nearest exit once the alarm is sounded. They can only return after being instructed to do so by security.

They are also encouraged to help colleagues who “can’t evacuate the building by themselves,” said the AUS Safety and Crisis Management Team.

In case of a medical emergency, students can inform security for medical support.
