UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – Students won headsets, AirPods and gift cards April 24 when the American University of Sharjah’s Arabic and Translation Studies Department hosted its second Arabic Heritage Trivia Night.

The event was in collaboration with the Arabic Heritage Club and was held at the Chemistry building auditorium from 5-7 p.m.

The trivia was based on knowledge of Arabic and Islamic heritage. Over 90 students and faculty attended the event, which included 13 groups competing for the prizes.

“These events are designed not only to help students revise effectively but also to engage them in a rewarding and culturally enriching experience,” said ATS Head Professor Ahmed Ali.

The event featured snacks like mini sandwiches, drinks and jam tarts. The two winners of a free raffle following the session (but before the competition winners received their prizes) each received a Fujifilm camera and an AED 150 gift card. Organizers also named three winners of a Ramadan Quiz which had attracted over 200 participants.
