UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – American University of Sharjah students are being asked to complete the university’s “Disabilities & Inclusion Training” on iLearn.
According to a recent email to faculty, asking them to encourage students to complete the online program, it is modeled after staff training and consists of three short video modules totaling less than 15 minutes.
Administrators say it covers the importance of raising awareness and understanding of disability issues while reinforcing the university’s commitment to inclusivity.
Upon completion of the training in the fall semester, students will be entered into a raffle for five AED 500 gift cards.
The university’s stated goal is to have the entire student body complete the training during the academic year.
