UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – The American University of Sharjah will hold all final examinations for the Spring 2021 semester on campus, according to a Jan. 31 email from the provost’s office.
According to the email, classes this semester will continue operating online. However, the Ministry of Education has issued a directive that mandates all universities in the UAE to hold on-campus final examinations. AUS will provide further details relating to exam schedules, protocols, and student housing well in advance of the final exam period, according to the email.
In addition, it noted that AUS will exempt students with traveling constraints, health reasons or other circumstances that may prevent them from accessing campus. In such cases, the university will provide alternative arrangements such as online modes of examination.
AUS will continue to monitor the situation and future directives in order to provide greater access to campus, according to the email.
