UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH— Approximately 900 students joined the Saudi Cultural Club to celebrate Saudi Arabia’s 93rd National Day at the American University of Sharjah on Sept. 25.

With a lot of hard work, “the event was a huge success,” Ghalia Alesayi, the club president, said.

The celebration, which took two months to plan, had various interactive activities, a photo booth, and food from vendors, including Not a Space and Laffah.

However, the “most enjoyable part” was the show, which featured dances and musical performances special to Saudi Arabia.

The dance incorporated spotlights to tell a story, which has not been done in previous years.

Commenting on the performance, Alesayi said, “We put a lot of effort and commitment into practice, and it turned out just the way we wanted.”

Sponsors such as Code Red, Cluster Clear, and The Six contributed to the event’s success, she said.
