University City, SHARJAH—The library at the American University of Sharjah is hosting a series of De-Stress events during the finals season for students in the library ground floor rotunda, from Nov. 25 and Dec. 7.
The library is inviting students to engage in activities like coloring, puzzle-solving and LEGO building. Also, special events such as sound bath, crafter noon, games night and story time promise a well-rounded approach to stress relief for students.
There is a novel addition this semester; it allows the students to check out a plant as a study buddy, introducing a calming presence to their study environments.
For those seeking absolute quietude, silent study areas on the first and second floor offer a space free from talking, phones and music, complemented by an option to borrow Sony noise-cancelling headphones from the Library Service Desk.
As AUS continues its commitment to student success, these initiatives aim to create a supportive environment that goes beyond traditional library services during the demanding exam period.
The library will extend its operating hours until 1 a.m. on multiple nights during the final exams. Students are encouraged to check the library.aus.edu website for real-time updates on opening hours.
