UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – The American University of Sharjah ascended to the top 150 in the Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings and improved in the QS World University Rankings, Chancellor Dr. Tod Laursen announced in an email on May 1.

AUS previously placed within the top 250 universities in the THE Asia rankings.

According to Laursen’s email, the university secured the top positions in narrow fields such as finance, economics, and architecture, as well as in broader subjects like arts and humanities in the QS World University Rankings.

He added that AUS also achieved a high placement in the UAE for its academic reputation in economics and econometrics, and architecture and built environment.

“These achievements are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our faculty, students, staff and alumni,” stated Laursen.
