Journalism student Tuqa Al Ayoubi reports on Sharjah’s Xposure Photography Festival

SHARJAH- The works of international photographers were exhibited at Xposure, a 4-day annual photography festival, held Feb. 10-13 at Expo Centre, Al Taawun.
Xposure included multiple events: Exhibitions, training workshops, live stage demonstrations, seminars, presentations, film screenings and more.
This yearly festival hosts the largest photographic and film consumers show in the region.
Xposure has recently showcased more than 25 exhibitions from professional and emerging photographers.
The exhibitions included stories and images of war from the region, African wildlife, architecture from Morocco, and others.
Sharjah Government Media Bureau started the Xposure festival in 2016.
A wall in the festival is dedicated to showcasing the works of professional photographers who won awards in the photography and film categories.
One of the exhibitions displayed the best of images featured in the 2019 Siena International Photography Awards.
The Siena International Photography contest was open to professional and amateur photographers globally and had the highest international participation.
Xposure is an event that appeals to all age groups.
