UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – The American University of Sharjah will resume face-to-face classes from the Spring Semester starting on Jan. 16.
For one year and a half, AUS offered either online or hybrid teaching. AUS has decided to come back fully to campus next semester.
AUS students are very excited to return to campus and attend their classes face to face.
Fatma Mohammed El Tarhuni, a student in AUS, majoring in multimedia and now is a junior 1, said, “The fact we are going back to campus excites me every day.”
AUS is ready to bring all its students back to campus. They have created a very safe environment all around campus.
AUS created their elevator buttons with sensor buttons. They also made a bar code that can tell if they are an AUS’R or not, and this is to avoid having many people on campus.
Students will focus more on campus and meet all their friends and professors.
“Having our classes on campus is ten times better because we as students can focus more, unlike online courses,” said Moustafa Ahmad Al Bezaz, a Junior 1 majoring in civil engineering.
Students are excited to see their friends and communicate with their professors physically rather than just seeing their professors through a screen.
“I will be able to get to see my friends and professors, and it will be easier to communicate with professors,” said El Tarhuni.
“I am so excited that now I will be seeing my real friends and get to know them and meet them in real life, not only behind the screens,” added Al Bezaz.
