UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – American University of Sharjah faculty Feryal Qudourah, Guilherme Godoi, and Natalia Tykhonova performed to a standing ovation when AUS hosted a multilingual musical event Feb. 2 in the Arts building.
Qudourah opened the event with a song in Hindi, accompanied by Godoi on piano. She also sang in Arabic, French, and English, with Godoi and Tykhonova alternating between accompanying her and performing their own solo work.
Qudourah “had incredible range,” said Dr. Lisa Bardill Moscaritolo, AUS’s executive director of student affairs, adding that she greatly enjoyed the performance.
The evening concluded with a Disney princess medley, with the audience singing along, and a standing ovation for the professors.
