UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – Over 4,000 people, including off-campus guests, attended the American University of Sharjah’s annual Global Day for the spring 2023 semester held March 10-11 from 5-10 p.m.
During the event, student-run organizations displayed the cultural heritage of their diverse nationalities. A total of 30 clubs participated in this year’s Global Day, three of which (Nigerian, Japanese, and Yemeni cultural clubs) were new or reactivated.
Nine organizations performed dances and songs in the Main Auditorium then the Main Plaza on March 10. The same applied for six other clubs the following day.
According to Executive Director of Student Experience Dr. Lisa Moscaritolo, “Global Day is a special time to showcase our students and their passion about their nationality and organizations.”
