UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – The American University of Sharjah’s University Counseling Services office announced Jan. 12 that it is continuing its partnership with the American Center for Psychiatry and Neurology, allowing members of the campus community to receive specialized mental health support.
According to the email, eligible staff and faculty can access up to three counseling sessions per academic year with UCS or a licensed ACPN psychologist. These sessions are “designed to address immediate concerns and assist in connecting individuals with appropriate external mental health resources when ongoing or specialized care is required.”
The university is also encouraging use of TalkLife, a 24/7 peer-support platform designed for immediate connection and support.
Counseling services are in the ground floor of the Arts Building, with offices open Monday through Thursday.Appointments can be booked via the UCS booking system at: https://ucsappointments.aus.edu/.
