Journalism student Tuqa Al Ayoubi explains Covid-19 rules at a cat cafe.

DUBAI- The Ailuromania cat café located in Jumeirah, Dubai, allows only six visitors at a time to maintain social distancing.

Visitors must call and reserve a spot before arrival to avoid exceeding the numbers allowed.

The café  also allows visitors to adopt the cats.

All of the 25 cats currently at the center were initially strays.

In order to encourage adoptions, Ailuromania is also home to cats from a government-run animal shelter in Ras Al Khaimah.

This café has some rules, which include no lifting and no feeding of the cats.

Ailuromania, which is a stress-free zone, and a place for relaxation with the cats, also serves drinks.

The cats have access to a relaxation room with multiple beds or when they want to spend time away from humans.

The payment fee for each visitor is AED 30 per hour.
